Our home PC, an AMD64 with 8Gb, now has Windows 7 Home Edition installed to become our Media Center. QNAP provides a NAS with Marvel Kirkwood processor supported by Debian ARM distribution (kernel 2.6.30). The NAS comes without a HDD, and is perfectly designed for a single SATA disk. I added a Western Digital 1TB SATA disk.
The first impression is fantastic, with a very ordered internal design of this system.
is great software for a GPS navigation solution using a regular PC and PDA. I use a HP iPAQ 214 with a 4 inch touch-screen on our sailing boat. In Sweden 3Connect offers a 3G broadband connection with pre-paid subscription. A stylish Huawei HSDPA Modem is provided inclyding USB connector. Unfortunately the original software did not work on my laptop with XP and SP3. I installed the update version 2.0 of 3Connect on the modem and reinstalled the PC software. The update can be downloaded from the 3 site. The 3G connection is working fine now (when there is coverage)!

The Windows 7 RC1 can be downloaded from the Microsoft site for evaluation purposes. You need to registered for the download and the product key. The installation iso is 3Gb. I installed Windows 7 with 4Gb of memory on a 10Gb disk as virtual machine in Virtualbox with Debian AMD64 as host system.
After the installation the harddisk space was low, next time I would recommend using 20Gb minimum. There was a problem with the sound installation, which is solved with downloading the Realtek AC’97 driver for Windows 7 64-bit (installed using the device driver installation).
The website Mobile contains a large number of occasions in Europe and is good place to search for German BMW occasions. The search capabilities facilitate to exactly find the car you’re looking for. And e-mail notifications will keep you posted on daily updates.
Additional tips and information are available on what is needed to buy a car in Germany. I found a car to export to Holland.
For hosting virutal machines on the Debian Lenny installation I installed Virtualbox from Sun. I followed the installation procedure via including the Virtualbox source in the apt-get source file (virtualbox-2.2). This does require the apt-key installation. Next step will the installation of a Windows XP virtual machine and the RC1 of Windows 7.
As part of the setup the VirtualBox driver kernel module (/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup) must be compiled with the proper kernel version headers (amd64 & common). On my installation the wrong sources had been downloaded by the initial installation.
Additional the memory is increased to 8Gb to support Windows VM’s.
